ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 15, 2014—With the successful launch of its new Niceville, Fla. branch, Pentagon Federal Credit Union (PenFed) made it official by treating the community to day of celebration at its May 9 grand opening event.
Attendees of the public event enjoyed light refreshments, door prizes and raffle giveaways, tours of the new branch,and the opportunity to meet and socialize with visiting PenFed executives, and the Niceville manager and branch representatives.
“We had a great turn out and everyone on the PenFed team fully enjoyed the opportunity t
o meet folks from the community,” said Ryan Rock, manager of the PenFed Niceville branch. “Many of our members that live in the area were in attendance. They were pleased to know that PenFed was now in the Niceville area—with several indicating that they have been PenFed members for many years, and that they were extremely happy to see us here.”
A ribbon-cutting ceremony kicked off the day of celebration, which was attended by official delegates from the Niceville community: Patsy Bland, chairman of the board with the Niceville Chamber of Commerce and REALTOR with Century 21 Wilson Minger Agency, and Mayor Randall Wise of Niceville.
PenFed official delegates included, Kevyn Myers, executive vice president and chief operating officer with PenFed, Michele Hart, vice president of branch operations with PenFed, and Shashi Vohra, executive vice president of affiliated business with PenFed.
The Niceville branch serves residents of Niceville, Fla. and the surrounding area; including the military communities of Eglin Air Force Base and Hurlburt Field.
Branch services include loan origination and mortgage consulting, ATM accessibility, and check deposit services. Branch representatives are also available to assist members with any questions regarding PenFed’s full-suite of financial services.
The branch is located at 1073 John Sims E. Parkway in Niceville, and the hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
