Valor Federal Credit Union Members Vote to Merge with PenFed

PAPILLION, Neb., Feb. 22, 2017 – PenFed President and CEO James Schenck today presented a $10,000 check to the Offutt Air Force Base Top 3 Association Executive Council. The check presentation ceremony took place at PenFed’s branch in Papillion.

“On behalf of PenFed’s 1.5 million members, our Board of Directors and our 2,500 employees, I want to express our gratitude for the competence, commitment and mentorship your association provides our junior service members,” said PenFed President and CEO James Schenck. “The Top 3 Association contributes to the professional development and careers of some of our finest service men and women, stationed here. It is truly an honor to support this organization and its work.”

PenFed Board of Directors Member Bill Vinson, PenFed Executive Vice President and COO Tammy Darvish and PenFed Papillion Branch Manager Susan Knott joined the event.

PenFed is a member of the Offutt Air Force Base Advisory Council. The Top 3 Association, a non-profit organization located at Offutt Air Force Base, provides professional development, leadership classes, continuing education and recognition events for Airmen and Non- Commissioned Officers stationed at Offutt Air Force Base.

PenFed has operated in the Greater Omaha area since 1992 with two centers serving PenFed members worldwide and a full-service branch in Papillion. PenFed employs more than 500 people locally. “PenFed is proud to continue serving as a philanthropic leader within the communities we serve around the nation,” said Schenck.

Since opening its Papillion branch in 2016, the PenFed Foundation has donated more than $40,000 to veterans and community organizations in the Greater Omaha Area, including: American Legion Post 339 for the homeless veterans food bank; Top III Association on Offutt Air Force Base; and Eastern Nebraska Veterans Home.
