Scam Alert: Internet Scams Using PenFed’s Name

PenFed Credit Union has been made aware of several cyber scams that are using PenFed’s name in an attempt to defraud victims. The following web addresses and email addresses being used in these scams are not official communications from PenFed. Do not engage with them:

  • Website domain: pentagonffederalcreditunion.com
  • The following email addresses:
    • lenderbarbara.avila@gmail.com
    • penfedwiretransfercreditunion@usa.com
    • penfedonlinetransfer@paid-verified.com

PenFed’s official domain is https://www.penfed.org/
PenFed’s official email domain is @PenFed.org

If you receive communications from sources that are not from our official domain do not engage with them. If you are unsure please contact us immediately.  

If you are a victim of internet fraud, please contact your local law enforcement. If you are a U.S. citizen you are encouraged to also report attempts at fraud to The Federal Trade Commission — website: https://www.ftc.gov/
